With All My Might

Posted in Where To by

We are clinging onto summer with everything we are worth. We love the swimming, the night time swimming, the hot weather, the splash pads, the late evening star gazing – we just love summer.

So three things we still have on our list: Splash Parks at the Phoenix Zoo (plus we want to see the NEW Nature Connects: Art with Lego Bricks) andย Arizona Falls for amazing end of summer photos and Wet ‘n Wildย (note:ย they are open weekends through October 16 – woo hoo for summer fun in October!) What do you have left on your list to do before summer end?

Swim at Canyon Lake, or any of our lakes really. They are the best on super hot days.

We do too! Wet n Wild is open weekends through mid-October. Some city pools are too. I’m sure we will have those 100 temps for a little more before Halloween ๐Ÿ™‚

That is such a fabulous idea! I was thinking when we were at the Lazy River at Wet N Wild that I wish I could go on one of those really long lazy rivers at one of our resorts. I’ve only been on JW Marriott Desert Ridge and Arizona Grand at South Mountain. Would love to check out some more!

Before summer is out, we really want to have another pool day as a family. Swimming lessons will happen throughout the year, but is just isn’t as fun as swimming with my “babies.” I love the staycation pool idea, Suzanne!

Sounds like the perfect end to summer. We want to day trip to Apple Annie’s in Wilcox – haven’t been there yet. Maybe an overnight, it is a long drive.

Yes. So long. Really five months if not five and a half. It is fun to be swimming in September (we even went to The Haunted Swamp at Mesquite Aquatic Center for Halloween and the kids got in the pool! The lazy river was decorated like a swamp and there were pumpkins floating in the pool! Too cold for Mom but the kids had a blast) but I get it about time for Fall!

Did not know Wet N Wild is open so late in the season. That is on our list as well as attend a movie at the drive ins, now that the weather is a little bit cooler.

Drive ins! That is a great one! Where do you go? There used to be one in Tempe but that is gone now. Would love to do that!

Yes! Wet n Wild open until October 16 weekends only. We had such a good time this late in the season – no lines! Only a little bit cold in some of the water slides that have shade.

The zoo! We haven’t been in a long time and I know they’ve made so many renovations. The last new exhibit we saw was the orangutans.
